Couldn’t find “Start Menu / Program / Startup” to drag the file there, but double clicking it and moving past the windows alarm DING turns it on, so it doesn’t need to be on the whole time.
i do not have the WisWBSet.exe file on the C:\Program Files\Launch Manager\ and i could not find it with the search. i still have to push the wirless botton.

Thanks worked on amilo sa 3560,
But with bluetooth also you need to ad an extra TAB in the last line code:
WshShell.sendkeys(”{TAB}{TAB}{TAB}{LEFT}~”)
otherwise it enable the bluetooth instead of the wifi.
Iv\’e done as instructed, but all i get when i start up is the note pad file opening up with the text that i pasted in it.doing something wrong any advice appreciated
the script works, but windows vista Wont autostart it! (did shortcut it to startup folder) so i just keep the file on the desktop, and click it, and that works. anyone got a tip?
Oh, be sure to save the file as .VBS, not .TXT otherwise it obviously doesn’t work. Depending on your conf you may need more or less tabs, three worked for me.
Running WinXp on a Amilo L1310G.

I installed Windows 7 in Drive D of my amilo3650 laptop. After installation, when i presses F1 function, i didnt get Wireless Status Option. And many other function keys were not working.
Then i did the way you said.

I installed Windows 7 on Amilo Li2732 for a friend of mine. The function key Fn+F1 did not work (turning on/off the wlan). I downloaded a driver called Launch Manager from Fujitsu that got the function keys to work, but still the wlan was set to default off when rebooting the laptop. The above solution turns the wlan on by default after rebooting!
Thanks!
big thanks works great, remember to go in folder options and remove the tick from hide known file types, then you will see the .txt at the end delete and replace with .vbs and the icon turns into a scroll. job done:)
Great fix. Very helpful. Had resigned myself to being stuck with Vista as Windows 7 is not supported by Fujitsu for Amilo Pa 3553. Could not use F Buttons so no internet. This tip and download of ‘Launch manager’ from F/S site has fixed problem. Now happily running Windows 7. Thanks

I cannot find networks even WLAN is on. I upgrade my Vista Home Premium to Windows 7 32-bit and I just made all these things what had to and now my laptop cannot find any wireless networks.
I installed launch manager and then I got the Wlan on. But now there is no hope to find networks. Do I have to install some other drivers?
@Joe
I had the same problem on a Amilo PA3553 as yours. I
updated the bios - reinstalled the wireless network card
driver. My laptop was now able to connect to a wireless
network. But only until next reboot. To get it online i had to
reinstall the driver.
To solve this problem i got windows 7 to search for the

I haven\’t been experiencing the problem since.
Btw. the bios update makes this script obsolete as the

Very nice script! It works with a minor adjustment. Because i have bluetooth in the option menu as well, i needed to put another {TAB} in it so it doesn\’t turn my bt on ;-)!
Thanks! This annoying problem is finally solved now :-D
tried it.partially worked but not automatic. on loadup i am automatically presented with the wireless on/off screen which i have to manually select but it\’s better than before :)
Found checkbox to “allow shutdown wlan to save energy” in the device manager. When I uncheck this, I don’t have to use Fn-F2 to activate wlan on the Amilo La1703.
Hi, tried this and it works to the point where it displays the wireless status option GUI, but I still have to manually check the ON box, how can I seti to check this box and start wlan automatically
Thanks

What should i do next and power management download dont seem to be working
I have just found a much better sollution, go to fujitsu website and in the search field of their database write “OSD 3560″.
Now you will find a file that gives you the On Screen Display menu that is originally installed and lets you with a button click turn on and off both bluetooth and wireless adapter!
(Took me 3 days to find and wasnt in the original listing on “drivers and software” on Fujitsus website)
I spent days on this trying different options by doing this additional step it now works(just a note I also added an additional TAB but dont know if this is required)
Install the VISTA launch manager (available from fujitsu) and then it works!!!!!
How do i get the wifi “on” when using an amilo 2735 on linux slax, all scrips and such are usually written for Winows and reference the “c ” drive. This is my first venture into Linux and are little out of my depth. Also i asume i will need the driver for the wifi card too,if so how i install or mount them in linux?
I have an Amilo pi1505 and have lost the internet connection facility for both wireless and through the LAN connection. Wireless switch is on but I cannot connect to anything as I have no visible means of connecting. I have read all the problems associated but can someone provide me with a simple method of solving the problem (not being a computer literate person). It worked 2 days ago but not now and will not even give me the opportunity to get on -line. I have no hair before this started!!
i have windows xp and it doesn’t work. my windows version is in Spanish, so i’ve run a search for the “WisWBSet.exe” file so i can know the Spanish route, but still can’t find it
i had a similar problem and it seems to be sorted now !
start menu
search “device manager”
network adaptors
select fujitsu siemens computers WLAN xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
right click then select properties
power management
deselect “allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
havent had this problem since but its only been a couple of days !
hope this helps :)
I just had this problem when I reinstalled the OS from the OEM disc (not the factory install disc) I figured the OEM disc had a driver conflict. But I incorrectly pointed the finger at the wirless lan driver.
The HOT KEY strip (the one with the buttons that turn white when you touch them just above the keyboard) on my laptop also controls the Wi-Fi Radio on/off button. This was the problem. You need the origional driver for that strip, even if your volume on the strip is working.
Background. Think of your wireless lan as two seperate devices… the radio is compared to the cord of an ethernet connection. The wireless lan card is the ethernet card. When you think about it as one device it is easy to see why so many people assume the problem is with the wireless lan card. But the important part is that a laptop usually devides the two up to save power. Controlling the radio from a button on the keyboard (or a function key) (mine is FN +F2) is another reason to think of the two as seperate items.
Before reaching this conclusion I tried using “allow the computer to turn this device off to save power” I also had tried Hi performance modes and other wireless radio from the control pannel in both plug-in and battery modes. I tried the turn wireless netork on and off as well. There were plenty of reasons to think this was going to fix the problem.
I aloos tried going with the above script but found that “WisWBSet.exe” was missing from windows 7. I also tried a Java script but could nto find the key code for the FN button, nor the combination of the FN button (hold) and the F2 key combo.
So update your HOTkey strip driver… see if that doesnt fix your problem.

Hi!
Cheers!
July 13, 2011 @ 3:24 pm
WINDOWS 7 installation
I spent days on this trying different options by doing this additional step it now works(just a note I also added an additional TAB but dont know if this is required)
Install the VISTA launch manager (available from fujitsu) and then it works!!!!!
Thank you to the original poster!

September 6, 2011 @ 10:07 am
I have an Amilo pi1505 and have lost the internet connection facility for both wireless and through the LAN connection. Wireless switch is on but I cannot connect to anything as I have no visible means of connecting. I have read all the problems associated but can someone provide me with a simple method of solving the problem (not being a computer literate person). It worked 2 days ago but not now and will not even give me the opportunity to get on -line. I have no hair before this started!!

SOLUTION! (at least for me on my win7 laptop)
December 2, 2011 @ 3:21 am
thanks a lot.. more power.. it works in windows xp pro.. ^__^
December 8, 2011 @ 7:45 am
This should work great. The only concern is, with this script running, can the wireless connection be turned off manually?
December 9, 2011 @ 4:48 am
This works fine, install the launchmanager from the link below, works fine with the vbs on win7.
Thanks
